30 Years of Carping
by TheCarpCatcher on Jul.23, 2010, under Abbey lake, Latest News
Peaches and cream is doing the business on Abbey with a fine brace from TheCarpCatcher.
This second fish came in at 22.12lb the first being just under 18lb.
Peaches & Cream snowmen on a long combi-rig did the trick just off the edge of a very weedy plateau.

No need to be shy! Hiding behind this stunning Abbey Lake mirror of 24 pounds plus is Peterborough Carp fugitive , Mr Mick Usher. Mick had a couple of nights on Abbey lake recently and bagged 7 Carp and a shed load of Tench!.Publicity shy mick did his best to remain anonymous but we recognised the orange wellies, or should i say the orange wellie ! What happened to the other one Mick? Mick and his mates are booked on for another go in September and i reckon they might empty the place. Good one mate and well done on giving up the fags!!!!!!!!!!!
First of the year at Abbey
by Gary Spencer on Mar.21, 2010, under Abbey lake, Latest News
Gary and Steve Doorman spent a wet and windy night on Abbey Lake and managed to get a couple of bites despite the conditions. Gary had this superb 21 plus mirror at 3.30 in the morning , the first fish from Abbey this year. The fish are starting to move a bit now and i don’t think it will be long before a few more come out said Gary. The fish was caught in the channel just in front of the island over a lightly baited area. Well done mate.
Caught on camera !!

Abbey Man!!!! last seen walking amongst some bivvies in early September. Not considered to be dangerous and known to eat, only raw onions. It is rumoured that Watford’s very own beast hunter, Mr Vern has some more images of “Abbey Man” that he is currently trying to sell to the highest bidder. We will do our best to get the said images for Premium Fishing News, so watch this space. In the meantime, Abbey anglers should keep there eyes open, and refrain from frying onions!!!
